Ms. Harris received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Georgia State University. She has been a performing member of Giwayen Mata for over eighteen years, where she has served in numerous capacities such as Dance Captain, Rehearsal Director, Choreographer, and Co-Director of the children’s ensemble. Ms. Harris was in the opening cast of KATONGA, a Broadway style musical at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida. Under her direction, the dancers of Drew have performed locally and regionally.

Mr. Garner graduated from Western Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s degree in Music Education. He directs the Chancel Choir and Handbell Ensemble at the First Christian Church of Decatur. Under his direction, choral groups have received Excellent and Superior ratings at local and regional festivals and have become members of the Callanwolde Singers and Atlanta Boy Choir. Mr. Garner’s interest include traveling to the world’s greatest opera houses.

Ms. Gillum graduated from Dillard University with a BFA, where she was the recipient of the James Tatum Foundation for the Arts Scholarship, a member of the Dillard University Diamonds Dance Ensemble and the Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society. Her dance experience includes performing with Alvin Ailey Junior Student Program, Disney World, and with Feld Entertainment touring worldwide. Ms. Gillum has trained alongside several prominent dancers such as Savion.

Ms. Nguyen graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Although this is her first year at Drew Charter, she has taught in Fulton County schools as a primary and secondary Art Teacher. Her interests include dark room photography, developing black and white photographs, and collecting vintage cameras. Ms. Nguyen is eager to expand the Drew Arts Program by helping students produce amazing artwork.

Mrs. Ruffin received her bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Virginia State University and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University. She is a professional artist whose works can be found in collections throughout the US and has been featured in publications such as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Artists of Georgia Magazine, Atlanta Tribune, and Creative Loafing. . Mrs. Ruffin promotes active community participation amongst her students.

Kristen Faust received a Bachelor of Music Education from Jacksonville University. She has over twenty years experience teaching music and has completed the highest level of Orff-Schulwerk certification and is a member of the Atlanta Orff Chapter. She has worked as the first Musicianship Teaching Artist for the Atlanta Music Project. Ms. Faust collaborates with the Georgia State Sound Learning Program. She enjoys traveling, family, friends, and playing violin in a duo called "Solely Strings".

Mr. Ross graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. He founded and established Drew Charter’s instrumental band program. Under his direction, Drew's band consistently earns Excellent and Superior ratings at District 5 Large Group Performance Evaluations. Former students of Mr. Ross continue to earn roles such as drum majors, Honor band, and membership in All-State Band. His personal interests include traveling and gigging around Atlanta.

Natalie Colbert earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and flute Performance from the University of Georgia and the Masters of Music from Vandercook College of Music. Mrs. Colbert was the first teacher to serve as a full-time Orchestra Teacher in Atlanta Public Schools. She was also elected twice as the Teacher of the Year at Sutton Middle School. For twenty years she has served along with her husband, Reginald Colbert, as Co-Conductor of the Atlanta Public Schools Youth Orchestra.

Ms. Anderson graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a master’s degree in Historic Preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her visual arts lessons have been published in the United States Library of Congress’ Adventures of the American Mind website. Her art work has been exhibited in various locations including the American Embassy of Warsaw, Poland; SCAD in Savannah, Georgia; UGA in Athens, Georgia and GSU in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Sessoms graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Music Education. Students under his direction have received Excellent ratings at the GMEA District V Large Group Performance Evaluation and Southern Star Music Festival. In addition to singing at Drew, his students sing with the Atlanta Young Singers of Callanwolde and the GMEA District V Honor Chorus. His interests include traveling and hiking.
